On Jan 20, 2010, at 8:30 a.m., Shide’s 2010 work conference was held at the multi-functional room of the research academy. The conference was chaired by the vice president Ma Zu-quan. Altogether 300 important representatives from the various departments had attended the occasion. During the event, the president Chen Chun-guo presented the 2010 work proposals. The financial controller Wang Sui-mei summarized the auditing report for 2009. The vice president Wang De-hua announced the prizes given to the outstanding affiliated companies, departments, and employees. The representatives of the outstanding departments Zhang Jie and Ning Bin  concisely made the work reports. The vice-chairman Sui Xin-min announced the whole restructuring plan, then the chairman Xu Ming and the secretary Ruan Xin-guang delivered their significant speeches.

 

The whole operational situations of 2009 had been summarized and all the tasks for 2010 had been proposed in the conference. The president Xu Ming made an important speech and his theme was “Dash”. He said that Shide had rapidly made a miracle from 2000 to 2004. And he predicted that another one would be from 2010 to 2015. 2010 would be a year full of opportunities. Shiders should altogether strive to make Shide become one of the Top 500 corporations in the world. Xu Ming also briefly described the work schedules of Shide’s insurance, petrochemicals, medical facilities, and football club. Looking from a long-term perspective, Xu Ming anticipated Shide to have more and better technical innovations, human resources training, fringe benefits for the employees and marketing.

 

Lastly, Ruan Xin-guang made a summarized speech “Facing more challenges and Climb to the next summit”. He pointed out that Shiders had faced 2 great challenges in 2009, and Shide could strengthen herself in 6 directions. And he proposed 13 requirements for improving the corporation.

 

During the conference, a petro-chemical construction products company was announced to be established and had 9 affiliated companies with individual management.
