Advantageous Geographical Location

Shuangdao Bay is under the jurisdiction of Dalian City which is the most open city in North China and praised as northern pearl. It is located at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula and is on the verge of joint between Bohai sea and Yellow sea. Shandong Peninsula is on the opposite side of the sea. Shuangdao Bay is at the central part of the northeast Asia region. If we take Shuangdao Bay as the center of a circle, 1000 kilometers as its radius, the circle will cover the following countries and region, such as, Northeast China and the most part of North China which is the most energetic region in the world at present, Japan which has the developed economy and advanced technology; South Korea, with rapid economic growth, North Korea and Mongolia which have the potential for development; and east part of Siberia of Russia which vast land and abundant resources.

Located at the central part of Northeastern Asian Economic Region, Dalian Shuangdao Bay has closed contact with the hinterland of Northeast China through arterial railway and main highway. The train ferry railway from Yantai to Dalian under construction will bridge a thoroughfare to connect Shandong Province and Yangzi River Delta; Shuangdao Bay is close to Japan and Korean Peninsula while separated only by a strip of water; Eurasian land bridge starting from Dalian reaches Europe through Siberia.

Northeast Asia region with a population of five hundred million forms a huge market. To establish a petrochemical industrial base in Shuangdao Bay is to pioneer the great Northeastern Asian market on addition to meeting the rapid increasing demand of domestic market which has strong radiation for marketing and a prosperous market.
