Excellent Condition for Harbor Construction

Petrochemical industry belongs to near harbor industry. All of the petrochemical industrial bases in the world are set up at the seaside with deepwater harbors constructed. There is the excellent condition for the construction of natural deepwater harbors in Shuangdao Bay, which is one of the main grounds for us to select Shuangdao Bay as the site for pertrochemical industrial park construction.

Shuangdao Bay is a bay with its month about 5 kilometers wide and there are two small islands in the middle of the mouth – that is why it is named as Shuangdao (twin islands) Bay. It is about 4 kilometers from the mouth to the shore line. The water area of Shuangdao Bay is about 14 square kilometers. The vast sea and deep water make the bay ice-free and silt-free all the year round. The natural depth of water can reach up to more than 30 meters off shore 200 meters west of the mouth. There is 700 meters long of shore line which can be used to construct the deep water harbor. There are enough deep water docks for super oil tankers to berth as well as for the transportation of processed oil and chemicals, if the large scale petrochemical industrial base is to be established at Shuangdao Bay.
